| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about John Tucker Must Die |
Four high school girls all team up against one boy, John Tucker, the star basketball player. Three of the four girls were all dating him at the same time, hearing the same lines, and the same stories. While working in a nice local restraint Kate sees John coming and going with these three girls, every night it was someone different. When the girls all find out, they first turn at each other, then band together for one cause, the demise of John Tucker.
They decide they have to get back at him. They tried to embarrass him repeatedly and each time he used it to his advantage, so they brought in a secret weapon, Kate. They make her into exactly what he would want, and saw in each of them. She became his dream girl, and from there they showed him what it felt like to be in their shoes.

Kate Spencer has recently moved to a new town as a result of another unhappy breakup between her mother and a boyfriend. Kate has seen so many of her mother's boyfriends abandon her mother that she has taken to calling all of them "Skip". Therefore, she has a very cynical and amused attitude when she realizes that John Tucker, basketball star and local god at her new high school, is juggling three different girlfriends. The three girls, a vegan teen activist, an honors student and a cheerleader inadvertently discover each other in gym class and get into a fight, landing in detention together with Kate.
The girls concoct a plan to get revenge on John Tucker, by discrediting him, embarrassing him, and making him undateable. However, most of their plots only seem to add to John's popularity. When they decide to get back at him by breaking his heart by setting him up with Kate, their plans may go awry as Kate finds herself falling for his irrestible charm.
