Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Professionals
A rich rancher hires four men to go to Mexico to retrieve his wife who's been kidnapped by a Mexican rebel, Raza. The four men are experts in different areas; Henry is an artillary expert, Bill is an explosives expert, Jake is a tracker and Hans is a expert horseman.
The men travel to Mexico, killing several rebels along the way.
When they reach Raza's compound the rig the place with dynomite. However, just before the explosions they discover that the girl, Maria, wasn't really kidnapped, she planned the whole thing with Raza for the ransom money. The men kidnap her from Raza. Raza and his men give chase through the desert.
Bill stays behind to hold off the rebels while the other three men continue on with Maria. With the help of his dynamite Bill is able to wound Raza and kill his men. He catches up with the other three as they meet up with the rancher.
Raza, barely able to ride, catches up to them and he and Maria embrace.
The rancher orders one of his men to kill Raza, but Bill and Henry stopped him.
The four men, realizing that the real bad guy is the rancher, let Raza and Maria go, allowing them to return to Mexico together.
