| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Alfie |
Co-written and directed by Charles Shyer in 2003. Alfie is a young British limo driver working in NYC. He's a womanizer who knows how to please and seduce women but leaves them at once as soon as he feels that his beloved freedom could be in danger. Now, Alfie has just been dumped by Julie, his regular date, a single woman with a child, who does not see any future in their relation.
Then, Alfie wants to help his friend Marlon to regain his girl-friend Lonette's love but he doesn't find anything better to do than to have sex with the young woman who must abort a few weeks later. The following year, feeling lonely, Alfie agrees to invite the beautiful Nikki in his apartment. A few weeks later, he does not know how to tell her that she must leave the place. Alfie finds aid and comfort in the arms of Liz, a 50 years old business woman, he will finally fall in love with but Liz will soon dump our British womanizer after having found a lover even younger than him.
