Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Shot (Focus)
Robert a young Caucasian aspiring photographer is recently healing from the death of his best friend. Things does not get any brighter yet as he is in between crossroads on his life and what career path he should take. His girlfriend Sidney encourage her boyfriend that being photographer is his lifelong dream and should not be gone to waste.

While taking pictures in a inner city neighborhood he happens to stumbled upon a young African American kid, Marcus, looking through two cardboard tubes( he made as binoculars) outside of his home. Roger takes photographs of the child for artwork and realize Marcus dream of becoming a photographer too. The two befriend each other quickly and Roger becomes Marcus mentor, teaching him the basics of photography. Marcus is learning there are a world full opportunities beyond his neighbohood than he realize, but it could not be said the same for his older brother Keith.
Despite his mother plead for him to not choose the wrong path, he deals with the hard life anyway. Hanging with the wrong crowd surrounded by troubled friends Boo, G-Ride, JuneBug and Shay Dog involved with drugs and crime which is ultimately give him a life changing experience. With his so-called hard core antics, he noticed Robert frequent visits over his house teaching his young brother the art of photographing. Though not believing in Robert good intentions, Keith believe that he will not stick around his younger brother for long; as sooner or later he cannot handle life in the hood. Robert think otherwise, so the troubled teen invites Robert to ride along with his gang banging friends to see how life is really like in the ghetto without through the lens of a camera. After a good talk among his friends, whom doubtd that Robert could really handle the everday encounters they are living; the approval with the leader of the pack, G-ride gives in and Robert soon takes on a experience he never seen before. But one night Robert hangs out with his new accquaintances when things go weary, as he is out at the wrong place at the wrong time. There is war between G-Ride's gang and rival gang members. Gunfire then takes place and Robert has taken pictures of the incident and afraid for his own life he runs off. But he is not let off the hook easily as Keith friends is after him, believing he has the evidence of the incident that took place.
