| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Curious George |
Ted (the man in the yellow hat) is a mild-mannered museum worker whose job is at stake. The museum is in danger of closing down due to lack of visitors. The museum is owned by Mr. Bloomsberry, but his insecure son Junior wants to close it down and turn it into a parking lot.
Mr. Bloomsberry's last hope to save the museum is to send Ted on an expedition to Africa. There he must find the legendary lost giant idol that only Bloomsberry had the map to. Little does Ted know, Junior has sabotaged the map and he has no hope of finding the real idol.
But along the way in Africa, Ted befriends a curious little monkey he names George, and George stows away on the ship with him back to New York.
Suddenly, Ted finds himself in charge of Curious George, and the two friends work together to find a way to save the museum, all the while foiling Junior's plans against them.
