Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Cinderella Man
Directed by Ron Howard in 2005. In 1929, Jim Braddock is a boxer with a future but, the following months, repeating wounds prevent him from concretizing his fine start in the boxing business. The years of depression are very hard for him and his family. He must work then as a docker and loses his boxing license. Braddock accepts the help of the public welfare in order to feed his family, while, each morning, he hopes to find an employment for the day.

One day, in 1935, Joe Gould, asks him to fight one of the best American boxers on the next day. Without any trainig, Braddock unexpectedly wins. Gould manages to get from the boxing Federation Braddock's licence back and the boxer, transformed by the painful years that he lived, wins his next two fights. He must now fight the champion of the world Max Baer and all the specialists expect that Baer will butcher Braddock.
