Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Life Stinks
Business tycoon Goddard Bolt is one of the wealthiest man alive and he got the luxury, the money simply the good life that any average working person wishes for. But his social ecomomic is put to the test when rival developer Vance Craswell wants to buy the same property in a slum neighborhood that Bolt wants. Craswell feels he can bring much value to the neighborhood because of his own past of living in poverty and there is no way Bolt could survive in the area for a month. Confident Bolt believe otherwise that he can daringly take on the bet in a opposite type of lifestyle than his own. Bolt agree to this challenge and could have the property for free only if he lives within the limit of the ghetto.
Dropped off from a stretch limousine, Bolt is now living the life of a homeless man with no money, credit card, fine clothing or food to eat. His home is in a cardboard box, and his dining is now the garbage can filled with scraps. He encounter the real life of poor men and women, and was physically attacks by thugs. Bag lady Molly fends for her territory where the thugs beat up Bolt; suddenly the buisness dealer and Molly become friends as she tells about the hardship of living on the streets. Goddard begin to falls in love with Molly where in one scene they danced in the street with music playing in the background.
Bolt becomes acquainted with other homeless folks around him and realized that his selfish greedy acts and his bet gives him guilt.
