Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Richie Rich
Based on Harvey comics in the 1950s, Richie Rich comes to life in this big screen movie in the 1990s. Twelve-year-old Richie Rich is the most wealthiest kid on the planet. His parents Richard and Regina is head of multi-billion dollar company Rich Industries and spoils their son rotten which can be proven that he has his own personal trainer Claudia Schiffer and a personal baseball coach Reggie Jackson. Instead of schooling with other children, he is given his own teacher/inventor Professor Keebean. Despite having anything he wants Rich is humble about his high class background and wants to live a life as a normal kid with everyday playmates. Prior to that he spended his days playing sports with butlers, maids and cooks which is out of the ordinary for someone his age.

Richie along with his valet Cadbury heads out to a sandlot where he spots four children, Gloria, Pee Wee, Omar and Tony It may seems that Richie is buying his friendship to these not so fortunate kids but it is working to his advantage. Richie and his new friends goes back to Rich's mansion and to their amazement sees the life of luxury that only a rich person can live. But of course they bask in all the fun of rollercoaster riding and accepting toys given by Rich while one kid excitedly claims that "this is the best day of my life".

Richie somewhat new happiness is stopped when when his parents is presumed dead in a plane explosion. Richie has a hunch that Laurence Van Dogh; an employee of Regina and Richard is behind the scheme and is plotting to take over the family business and collect their billions so he can become a wealthy man himself. Richie want to put a stop to Van Dogh's plan but first he takes control of Rich Industries while his parents is missing. He then then gather his friends, Cadbury and Professor Keenbean to assist him and track down the untrustworthy Dogh before it is too late.
