Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Havoc
Pampered and privileged teens from the affluent California suburb of Pacific Palisades enjoy acting, speaking and dressing like “gang-bangers” … especially young Allison (Anne Hathaway) and her best friend Emily (Bijou Phillips).   When the thrill-seeking group decides to venture to East L.A. one night, they meet up with authentic and frightening gang members. Though lead gang member Hector (Freddy Rodriguez) nearly kills Allison's boyfriend Toby (Mike Vogel), she cannot help feeling a mixture of both fear and intrigue. Curiosity and infatuation consumes Allison and she begins traveling to East L.A. to spend time with Hector in his brutally dangerous world. After Allison spends a few hours in a juvenile detention facility, Emily practically begs to come along on the next L.A. trip. Allison complies and the girls become obsessed with the gang lifestyle.
