| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Rest Stop |
Nicole and her boyfriend, Jesse take a road trip to California. Along the way they stop at a remote rest stop.
Nicole returns from the restroom to find that Jesse has been abducted by a psychopath who then begins stalking her and playing a game of cat and mouse with her.
She locks herself in the restroom where she discovers another girl locked in the closet. She retrieves a crowbar to break the lock, but when she returns she finds that the girl was never there. Nicole thinks she's losing her mind. Just when she's about to give up a motorcycle cop, Deacon, shows up and tries to help, but the killer runs him over with his truck and paralyzes him. Nicole drags Deacon into the restroom and blocks the door.
The killer pumps gasoline into the restroom and prepares to burn them out.
Not wanting to burn, Deacon talks Nicole into shooting him. She then escaped through a skylight. She rigs up a molotov cocktail and blows up the killer's truck. However, the killer escapes the explosion and abducts Nicole who becomes the next victim in a long line of missing people.
