Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Go Fish
Long before she co-penned "American Psycho" and "The Notorious Bettie Page", Guinevere Turner starred in this independent film about the often-confusing life of a young lesbian. Outgoing and outspoken Max (Turner) is plagued with perplexing thoughts about love and its meaning … especially since she does not have anyone special in her life. While having coffee with her roommate Kia (T. Wendy McMillan) one afternoon, they run into quiet and shy Ely (V.S. Brodie), a friend of Kia's. Even though Ely is newly single, Max is not interested. Max finds Ely unattractive, especially her long, curly hair. However, after Ely's roommate Daria (Anastasia Sharp) persuades Ely to cut and shave her hair super short, Max and Ely meet again and romantic sparks begin to fly.
