| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Man of the Year (2006) |
This movie revolves around the life of Tom Dobbs, who is a sharp performer he has his very own talk show. Tom has made his career out of skewering politicians and always speaking the mind of the frustrated nation on his talk show.
Tom kept on cracking mocking jokes at a fractured system and he finally came up with a really funny idea to run for president himself. Soon he finds out what politicians have to go through and he had to make a decision of choosing his career should he say as a president or should he go back to his old profession as a talk show host. At first he wins but later he finds out that a computer voting error gave him the victory.
Tom Dobbs is played by Robin Williams, he is a great comedian. This movie is rated PG-13 for language including some crude sexual references, drug related material, and brief violence. Distributed by Universal Pictures and filming locations are Toronto, Canada; Washington D.C., USA; Maryland, USA.
