| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Murphy's Romance |
Emma Moriarty is a single mom raising her teenage Jake in a small town in Arizona. She recently moved into the town to start a new life and so far things been good along with her new horse boarding business. But it gets even more been when a wise older man named Murphy Jones strikes a conversation with Emma and quickly befriends her. Jones is respected by most residents of the town with the exception of City Hall.
Emma is taken aback by Murphy's widsom, his sophisication and seem to enjoy his company more than she expected. Just as things seem to be on a up-spiral, Emma's trifling husband Bobby Jack is back in the picture and begging to stay at her place until he get him back together. Emma allows him to stay only because of their son, who might need son-father bonding.
But Emma's new friend Murphy is coming around more than expected and Emma's feelings begin to develop for the old man. With Bobby in the way in her life personally it is hard for Emma to put a boundary between her annoying husband herself as she tries to lead a new life with a much better man without Bobby's interference.
