Ellen is a young beautiful woman involved in a extra-marital affair with business tycoon boyfriend John Cleves. Cleves is married to his loyal wife Dorothy, who does not have a idea of his "love" for the careless Ellen. During their two year affair, Gordon is one second of way to being kicked out of her apartment is in need of a place to stay, so Cleves buys the building in which his company rents out the flat for guest to stay in.
Living rent free, Ellen is spoiled and pampered by her married boyfriend and is waiting for the day when John marries her, and of course after the divorce from Dorothy; which seems to take forever to happen. However, young cleaning boy Cass Henderson is sent by Cleve's airhead secretary Miss Linsley about a vacant spot at the same place Ellen is residing in.
Henderson builds a strong attraction towards Ellen proves himself to be more of the faithful type than her two-timing lover is. The more time the two spend together, Gordon's liking for Henderson grows deeper to the point where she have two choices to make; being taken care well by Clevens yet only with him as a part time lover on Wednesdays or run off with Cass who is willing to be with Ellen all the way to the point of marrying her.
