| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Notes on a Scandal |
The movie is about two women who start an affair. Where Barbara Covett senses an attraction towards Sheba also finds out her secret and becomes the keeper of her secret. This movie is also known as “Notes From a Scandal”, “What Was She Thinking?” and is rated R for language and some aberrant sexual content.
Judi Dench plays the role of Barbara Covett, who is a history teacher at a rough-and-tumble London boys' school. Barbara has been at that school far too long, cultured dragon lady who inspires fear and grudging respect but she snaps at one point. Obviously Barbara hates the little beasts and doesn't think much of the grown-ups as well.
Sheba is happily married to a professor named Richard role-played by Bill Nighy; they have a teenage daughter (Juno Temple) and a young son (Max Lewis) with Down syndrome. Sheba despite having her family, finds herself drawn towards a student named Steven (Andrew Simpson), who is only a 15-year-old boy.
Barbara finds out Sheba's secret affair and blackmails her with "Notes on a Scandal", Sheba wants only to be young again and Barbara wants is something more than a friend. Sheba is a fool and the movie is totally insane.
