| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Marnie |
One female thief's voyage of self discovery after her impulsive crimes lead her unexpectedly to a rich and powerful man that is obessed with her. With similar themes of a man making over a woman in his own image and romantic delusions, Marnie is a sort of weaker rehash of Alfred Hitchock's classic Vertigo.
--Bruce Lee Pullen, Resident Scholar

Marnie is a compulsive thief and liar. Sean Connery falls in love with her and discovers that she is mentally ill, and he becomes obsessed with finding out why she behaves the way that she does. At the very end of the movie you are filled in on Marnie's shocking lost memory from her childhood.
--Jenna Evans, Resident Scholar
