Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Living It Up
Homer Flagg is a railroad worker that just gotten bad news-he is dying due to radiation posioning. But soon he finds it not to be true as his doctor Steve Harris mistakingly diagnosed Flagg of poisioning. Meanwhile newspaper reporter Wally Cook is in hopes to get more popularity for the paper, believes Flagg's story is a very touching news that will take notice to everyone in the city.

What Cook does not know is that Flagg isn't exactly dying; she does proceed on writing a story on Flagg and soon enough, he gets the attention of the public, becoming the talk around town. But his celebrity status quickly spread nationwide, even to the point of a paid all-round trip to the Big Apple.

Flagg tells Dr. Harris about the news, instead of him coming forth with the truth about his non-existent condition, Harris encourages his patient to go along for the ride, and milk it for all it's worth. While Flagg is having the time of his life, a medical specialist named Emile Egelhofer is persistant in examining Flagg's state of health.
