Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Benji
Benji is a adorable stray dog loved by many of the local people in the neighborhood, children, parents, the mailman, police officers and many others who is pleased by the dog's friendiless. But sadly, his only place that he calls his own is a abandoned building. To get rid of the loneliness of living in the empty house, he visits a young boy and girl, Cindy and Paul who often plays with the pooch, only outside or else their father may scold them for letting a stray dog in their home.

While the father is away at work, the children's nanny Mary let the dog play with the kids for a few moments. During his day of routine, Benji comes back to play with Paul and Cindy and happens to see a visitor at the door. The visitor is a woman named Linda who came to ask for a check, which Mary willingly gives the lady. Benji is suspicious of this woman's behavior and assumes that she is a thieve who collect checks from gullible people. Before the lady runs off with the money, the dog quickly goes straight to the lady, knocking her down and the check she was holding and run away from her.

Linda at this point is angry and the nanny is upset by the cute dog for his actions towards the woman, which she does not know is a thief. The next day, the happy dog goes to the park to find a beautiful little dog named Tiffany who is also dependable and tough as Benji. The two hit it off quickly and become instant friends. Walking together where Benji's lives, the dogs find out that the lady and her no good boyfriend has kidnapped Paul and Cindy, holding them hostage at Benji's place. The two goons sees Benji and Tiffany, and slightly injures the already fragile looking Tiffany. But Benji runs off to find help from anyone to alert them of the kidnapping of the children. The only thing that sets in Benji's way is that he is a dog and has to find a way to get through the humans so they can pick up on what has happened.
