Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Grease
Based on the hit Broadway musical, Grease tells the story of two love-struck high school seniors, Sandy Olsen and Danny Zuko. An exchange student from Australia, Sandy meets Danny at a beach during the summer and is surprised to run into him in school. Their love manages to survive several misunderstandings. However, in the end Sandy realizes that she must change herself to truly be accepted by Danny and his friends.

A summer romance at the beach develops between quiet and pretty Australian Sandy Olsson (Newton-John) and brassy American Danny Zuko (Travolta). Both assume it will end with the summer, but are surprised to find Sandy's parents have decided to stay in the U.S. and she ends up at Rydell High where Danny's a student. But now he's on view among his friends -- the male gang called the T-Birds, which hangs out with the Pink Ladies -- and has his cool and independent rep to maintain. The Pink Ladies ridicule Sandy's virginal ways, especially tough-talking Betty Rizzo (Channing). A rival gang, the Scorpions, wants to race the top T Birds car, and a national TV dance show is coming to town. And of course, graduation looms. Sandy basically has to decide whether to change her ways to keep her man. Based on the long-running musical play that debuted in 1971, this 1978 movie is perky but a bit weak and off-key: All-American Sandy had to be made an Aussie for Newton-John's sake, songs were dropped and added, Travolta works hard (just coming off his star-making turn in "Saturday Night Fever" the year before), the film spawned two number-one hits (title track and "You're The One That I Want"), but the cinematic results are silly, and not in a great way.

When a quiet shy, soft, aussie girl meets a loud, cool, outgoing American they fall in love in an instance. But when they meet up again everything has changed. The guy cannot decide if the girl is the one for him and the girl feels she must change to fit in.

Sandy and Danny return to Rydell High school after a summer of romance. Neither of them know that the other is in their own school. After finding one another, Danny must decide which is more important, his reputation and friends, or his girlfriend.

This movie is about a romance between Sandy & Danny.
After a summer romance, Sandy & Danny believe they'll never see each other again because Sandy is returning to Australia........ but lo & behold she starts school at "Rydell High" where Danny is already a senior.
Their reunion is not as joyous as it should be due to the fact that Danny is a member of the "T-Birds" and won't allow his sensitive side to show through.

A musical film involving Danny Zuko and Sandra "Sandy" Dee. It follows the growing-up of these two characters and this is shown through music and dance. Both characters try to change for each other; Sandy changes from conservative to a wild teenager and Danny attempts to change from a wild child to conservative. It ends happily with a group performance that gets you dancing and singing along.

Sandy, a classic 50's good girl meets Danny, a greaser that is the head of the school gang. They intently fall in love, and everything goes well until they end up going to the same school. Here Danny's friends make fun of him for liking such a goody goody and Sandy befriends the cool girls in the school. Danny changes his look for sandy by turning a little jock and with the help of her friends the "pink ladies" good little sandy turn tough. All in all it is a great movie!!!!!

It's a holiday romance between Sandy Ollsson and Danny Zuko, but when Sandy changes schools and meets Danny again, will she fit in to his 'cool' life at Rydell High.
This is a musical, full of 1960's singing and dancing, but all in all a brilliant movie.

Sandy comes to summerlove Danny's high school for a year. over the year Sandy finds out where she really wnts to be, and who she wants to be.

Sandy and Danny meet and fall in love over the summer, then part ways to go back to high school. Little do they realize they will end up going to the same school. At first Danny pretends like she meant nothing to him, which crushes her. The rest of the story is the story of how they get together and how their perspective friends all hook up too. Actually the best part of a pretty ordinary plot is the great music in the movie.
