Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Gladiator
This is a very good movie but it's not just about him fighting it was about him getting to his family
--kyle , Resident Scholar

A general that becomes a slave. A slave that becomes a gladiator. A gladiator that defies a ceaser. An excellent adrenaline pumping movie. Dazzling. Spectacular.
--Justin Tread, Resident Scholar

A general loyal to his emperor is taken as a gladiator and his family is brutally murdered when the emperors power hungry son takes his fathers thrown. The general must fight for his life and more importantly for justice.
--SID, Resident Scholar

This film can be dismissed as a gorefest masquerading as a movie, but there actualy is a point to it all, and thats why it did so well at the Oscars, if you really want my opinion. General Maximus, a Roman hero, is sold into slavery after the emperor's son takes power. He ends up as a gladiator in the arena, and seeks revenge.
