Curly, a cowboy, is love with Laurey, a farmer. Curly wants to take her to a dance but Jud Fry, the hired hand, does so. Will Parker comes home from Kansas City to find the woman he wants to marry is in love with Ali Hakim, a Persian. The rest is about reclaiming loves lost to others. And lots of singing and dancing.
