| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Woman of the Year (1942) |
A gruff, down-to-earth sportswriter meets and falls in love with a female international journalist-feminist-superwoman. They get married and then the fun begins. Their always busy, fast-moving lifestyles and incongruous social circles keep getting in the way of their marital bliss. Though the movie does show how a woman can achieve great things, it punch lines with the supremacy of life companionship. Much hillarity and situational comedy, and magical chemistry between Tracy and Hepburn (their first movie together).
