| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Bottle Rocket |
Anthony, a nice enough sort, is fresh out of the hospital after a mental breakdown. His crazy friend Dignan cooks up a robbery scheme that includes Anthony and their sorry neighbor Bob, under the guidance of Dignan's former boss, the supposedly legendary crime lord "Mr. Henry," played by James Caan. During the course of these dim bulbs' misadventures, Anthony finds love in the arms of a hotel maid named Inez. Star Owen Wilson and director Wes Anderson co-wrote this offbeat 1996 film, and went on to collaborate on "Rushmore" two years later.

Three friends decide to embark on a life of crime, led by the obsessive Dignan. Their first job is successful, and leads to a hotel with a pretty Mexican maid... But then, our characters are not exactly cut out for pulling of robberies.
