Review Summary and Plot Commentary about True Romance
Clarence Worley is a lonely comic book cashier in Detroit.
His co-workers set him up with a blind date (a hooker) named Alabama. They meet, fall in love, and get married.
Clarence goes back to collect Alabama's belongings from her former pimp Drexel. A gunfight ensues, leaving Clarence the victor. He mistakenly grabs the wrong bag and ends up with a huge amount of uncut cocaine. Clarence and Alabama travel to California hoping to unload the highly illegal product.
There they meet trouble with the potential buyers, the police, and mobsters who the drugs were originally stolen from.

--Aaron Turner, Resident Scholar

Clarence meets Alabama, the girl of his dreams who also happens to be a call girl (she's not a hooker, there's a differnce ya know!). Clarence marries Alabama and when he goes to get her stuff from her pimp, mayhem ensues. Instead of Alabama's things, Clarence ends up with a whole lot of cocaine which he decides to sell to make a lot of money... unfortunately for Clarence and Alabama, many people don't want this to happen.
