| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Philadelphia |
Andrew Beckett(Tom Hanks)is a prestigous Philadelphia lawyer. Yet there are secrets which his employers don't know, he has AIDS and he is gay. One day he is fired for misplacing a document which he clearly left out for his bosses. He seeks representation, until finally finding a personal injury lawyer, Joe Miller(Denzel Washington). He doesn't want to take on the case because of prejudice issues. But once Beckett proves to Miller that he has a case backed by justice, he takes him on. Miller will have to set aside his prejudices and get what is right for Beckett, as he slowly fades away from the deadly disesase he has.
