| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about A Scene at the Sea |
Written and directed by japanese director Takeshi "Beat" Kitano, A SCENE AT THE SEA has been theatrically released in 1992.
This is the story of a young japanese hearing-impaired couple. One day Shigeru holds interest in surfboarding and soon loses his interest in his job as a employee of the local sanitation service. With the sole psychological help of his girl-friend, he will spend the whole summer trying at the beach.
A little pearl of sensibility. Highly recommended.
