Review Summary and Plot Commentary about L.A. Story
40-something LA Weatherman (Steve Martin) is in the wrong relationship, he is only partially aware of this. A chance encounter at a party introduces him to a smart, beautiful lady though (Victoria Tennant) - who he admires, and is hopelessly attracted to. The movie centers around his desire for her, his relationships, and these are supported with fond & satirical reference to the city of LA and Californians. He succeeds in winning her heart...(with some local metaphysical help!) and proves that romance is still alive in modern America/Western society.
