| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Man in the Iron Mask |
THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK is a movie directed by Randall Wallace released in 1998. With a terrific cast, the film will please teenagers as well as amateurs of adventure movies.
Louis XIV, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is the young King of France. He is unemotional, cruel and hated by his subjects who are starving. D'Artagnan is chief of his musketeers and his mission is to protect the King's life.
In the meantime, Athos, Porthos and Aramis conspire against Louis XIV, deliver his twin brother from prison and try to replace the King with Philippe, the Man in the Iron Mask.
