THE LAST WAVE is a movie co-written and directed by Peter Weir in 1977 in
Australia.
Richard Chamberlain is living in Sydney, Australia with his wife and two little girls. As a lawyer, he has to defend a group of native Aborigenes accused to have murdered one of their companions. They are reluctant to give informations to him but soon Chris, the youngest of the accused, after
Chamberlain has revealed to him that he is having upsetting dreams, will introduce the shaman of his tribe to the lawyer. Meanwhile, strange weather conditions bring black rains, stormy days and nights all over Australia.
For those who liked PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK. Haunting.
