A detective investigates the death of a man who was tortured. Another detective is investigating the breaking and entering of a school and cemetary. As they continue their separate investigations they discover that they are both looking for the same person. They team up and discover a Nazi-like plot to design a perfect race.

Up in an isolated University campus a dead body is found hanging from a cliff. The path of police officer (Reno) who is investigating the case, will cross the path of a local police officer (Cassel) who tries to find out who is responsible for the violations in the city's cemetery. It seems that both of them are hunting down the same criminal, stumbling from one to another gory murders, and that a young teacher is somehow connected to them. The carefully given clues lead to an unexpected end.

A special investigator comes to a rather small town in the french mountains to help solve a murder mystery - a man is found hanging from a mountain, and his hands and eyeballs are gone. At the same time, a tough local cop is given the task of finding out who violated the tomb of a little girl who died in an accident many years ago. But was it really an accident? More victims appear in relation to the first case, and the special investigator finds out that all the victims have something to do with the local university, where students live and work with the professors in an almost entire world of their own. He runs across a woman who work at the university, asking questions she does not like to answer. It turns out that both the special investigator and the local cop are in fact working on the same case, or their cases are connected. They can only count on themselves, because the other local cops are rather stupid. It also turns out that the woman at the university has something to do with the whole thing, but what? And the university too, as it has a history of genetic manipulation and there are rumors of baby stealing as well. The two cops come close a few times before they actually get to the "bad guy", lots of running around and so on. The story is not that great, but the ending is somewhat delightfully surprising.
